  • • Lead the architectural design and evolution of Employ’s three core ATS platforms—Jobvite, Lever, and JazzHR—ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration across enterprise-grade systems.
  • • Define and enforce technical standards, architectural patterns, and best practices across all engineering teams building AI Companions and talent acquisition tools.
  • • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business objectives into scalable, maintainable technical architectures that support millions of candidate connections annually.
  • • Drive the adoption of modern cloud-native technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices to optimize performance, reduce operational overhead, and enable rapid feature deployment.
  • • Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, APIs, and platforms that enhance system capabilities while maintaining security, compliance, and data integrity standards.
  • • Serve as the primary technical authority for system-wide initiatives, including migration from legacy architectures to modern microservices and event-driven designs.
  • • Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of architectural excellence, code quality, and innovation across distributed remote teams.
  • • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure all architectural decisions align with industry regulations and Employ’s commitment to candidate safety and data privacy.
  • • Own the long-term technology roadmap for Employ’s talent acquisition ecosystem, balancing innovation with stability to support growth from startups to Fortune 500 clients.
  • • Represent Employ’s technical vision in cross-functional forums, customer discussions, and industry events, articulating the strategic value of our platform architecture.
  • • Monitor system performance metrics and incident trends to proactively identify architectural bottlenecks and implement preventative solutions before they impact customers.
  • • Champion a remote-first engineering culture by enabling asynchronous collaboration, documentation rigor, and clear architectural decision records accessible to all teams.
  • • Work closely with AI product teams to integrate intelligent automation features into core workflows, ensuring architectural coherence between human-driven and AI-assisted hiring processes.
  • • Maintain deep familiarity with the full stack of Employ’s technology ecosystem—from frontend interfaces to backend data pipelines—and ensure architectural consistency across all layers.
  • • Evaluate technical debt holistically and prioritize refactoring efforts that maximize long-term system health without compromising delivery velocity.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience as a Chief Architect or equivalent leadership role in a SaaS company with enterprise-scale ATS, HR tech, or recruitment platforms
  • • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices design patterns
  • • Demonstrated success leading large-scale system migrations from monolithic to distributed architectures
  • • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and secure software development practices
  • • Experience mentoring senior engineering teams and establishing architectural governance frameworks
  • • Track record of aligning technical strategy with business goals in fast-paced, remote-first environments
