đź“‹ Description

  • • The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) is seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its flagship initiative, LeanIn.Org, and oversee its broader family of programs. This pivotal role is designed for a leader who can translate innovative ideas into tangible products, foster thriving communities, and ultimately build powerful movements dedicated to advancing women. The SGBFF is committed to building a more equal and resilient world through its four core initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program. As CEO, you will be at the forefront of empowering women to lead in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
  • • The urgency of Lean In's mission has never been greater. The world of work is undergoing unprecedented transformation, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and shifting economic paradigms. These changes, while offering new opportunities, also risk leaving women behind. Your primary mandate will be to evolve Lean In, leveraging its established global community of millions and its trusted brand, into a dynamic force that provides women with the essential tools, products, and partnerships needed not just to navigate these changes, but to lead them. This requires a strategic mindset capable of anticipating future trends and a practical approach to building the infrastructure to meet them.
  • • We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of building and scaling initiatives. Your expertise should lie in understanding how to transform concepts into market-ready products, cultivate engaged communities around these products, and galvanize these communities into impactful movements. You will possess strong product instincts, coupled with the rigorous discipline required for successful execution. This means demonstrating an ability to launch, iterate, and continuously improve offerings based on user feedback and market dynamics. A deep understanding of how technology, particularly AI, can be harnessed to democratize access and expand opportunities is crucial, provided it is implemented thoughtfully and ethically.
  • • Beyond technical and product acumen, you must possess exceptional interpersonal skills. You will have an innate understanding of what resonates with diverse audiences, a talent for building and maintaining trust, and a profound belief that genuine growth is fostered when individuals feel recognized, supported, and empowered to extend that support to others. Your leadership style should foster an environment where empathy and empowerment are paramount.
  • • Managing high-performing teams is a core expectation for this role. You will have a history of setting ambitious goals and consistently delivering outstanding results. The ability to operate with agility, make decisive choices even with incomplete information, and adapt strategies as circumstances evolve will be key to your success. You must be comfortable with ambiguity and possess the resilience to navigate complex challenges.
  • • Above all, your commitment to the mission of advancing women in leadership must be unwavering. This commitment is not merely about fairness; it is about driving progress and building a better future for everyone. You will champion the belief that when women rise, society as a whole benefits.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by your ability to transform Lean In into an organization where product development and content strategy are seamlessly integrated to serve and exponentially grow its global community. You will be instrumental in forging strategic partnerships that amplify our reach and impact far beyond our independent capabilities. Creating an environment that fosters exponential community growth, where each member becomes an advocate and a gateway to reaching more women, is a critical objective. Furthermore, you will instill operational discipline that enables rapid progress while rigorously upholding the integrity and core values of our mission.
  • • The ideal candidate may hail from diverse professional backgrounds, including technology, media, education, or other relevant sectors. What is paramount is your demonstrated ability to build and scale impactful initiatives and your profound dedication to advancing women's leadership. While a technical degree is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. You should possess an optimistic outlook on the future, balanced with a realistic understanding of the challenges ahead. A steady demeanor under pressure and a genuine enthusiasm for driving meaningful change are essential qualities. Ultimately, you will embody the conviction that when women rise, we all rise.
