  • • As Chief Scientific Officer at Calyx Institute Inc., you will serve as the primary scientific authority and public face of the organization, driving thought leadership and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of radiopharmaceuticals and radioligand therapy (RLT). Your expertise will directly shape the company’s scientific direction, enhance its reputation within the global oncology research community, and accelerate the development of next-generation cancer therapies by bridging cutting-edge science with translational drug development.
  • • On a day-to-day basis, you will represent Calyx Institute at major international conferences, scientific symposia, and sponsor meetings as a key opinion leader; present compelling scientific data and strategic insights to diverse audiences including biotech/pharma partners, academic collaborators, and regulatory stakeholders; lead educational seminars, webinars, and workshops to disseminate best practices in RLT development; and cultivate and maintain high-impact relationships with leaders in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, academia, and research institutions to foster strategic scientific partnerships.
  • • You will provide expert scientific guidance to sponsors engaged in the discovery, preclinical development, and IND-enabling stages of radioligand therapy programs; participate in deep-dive scientific discussions with clients to optimize study design, accelerate decision-making, and ensure regulatory readiness; and collaborate closely with commercial and operations teams to align scientific excellence with business objectives, ensuring that sponsor programs are both scientifically rigorous and operationally feasible.

  • • You will also assume direct leadership and management responsibilities, including line management of scientific staff, matrix management of cross-functional projects, oversight of assigned operating budgets in coordination with the CEO, and active mentorship of PhD students and postdoctoral fellows through ongoing academic partnerships; promote a workplace culture defined by scientific curiosity, intellectual courage, collaboration, and continuous learning; and contribute to the development of future leaders in radiopharmaceutical research by investing in team growth, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
  • • The Calyx Institute is a mission-driven organization dedicated to advancing radiopharmaceutical innovation through scientific excellence, strategic partnerships, and translational research. As a remote-first company based in the U.S., we bring together world-class expertise in nuclear medicine, oncology, and drug development to support biotech and pharma sponsors in bringing life-saving radioligand therapies from concept to clinic. Our work sits at the critical intersection of cutting-edge science and real-world impact, where rigorous research meets the urgent need for more effective cancer treatments.
  • • In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly elevate your influence as a global thought leader in radiopharmaceuticals; shape the scientific trajectory of a growing and impactful organization; drive innovation that directly contributes to the advancement of cancer therapeutics; build and leverage an elite international network of scientists, clinicians, and industry leaders; and leave a lasting legacy by mentoring the next generation of radiopharmaceutical researchers while contributing to therapies that improve patient outcomes worldwide.
