📋 Description
- • The CIA Senior Prior Authorization Specialist (Non-Exempt) at Mercy Health is responsible for facilitating all components related to insurance and benefit analysis prior to the delivery of services, ensuring timely reimbursement and accurate financial responsibility assessment for patients.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient appointments and admissions, obtaining out-of-pocket financial responsibility information, securing necessary authorizations, performing insurance management, securing insurance referral requirements, and coordinating with insurance companies to ensure timely reimbursement; the role also involves serving as a mentor to fellow Patient Benefit co-workers.
