- • The Cisco Call Manager Engineer role at CDW Corporation is a critical position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance voice and unified communications infrastructure for federal and government clients in the Washington, D.C. area. This role directly supports mission-critical operations by ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) environments that enable seamless communication across agencies and partners.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing the physical and logical architecture of LANs, WANs, and VoIP networks; deploying, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing IP telephony, voice, video, and mobility solutions; leading software upgrades and patches for Cisco Unified Communications products; providing expert technical assistance to network analysts and professionals on Cisco software, IP phones, and voicemail systems; coordinating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure uninterrupted network operations; developing and executing session management strategies to improve call quality and system efficiency; performing remote monitoring and management of enterprise IP telephony environments; and delivering end-user support for Cisco VoIP and UCCE environments, including independent resolution of customer issues and handling of internal escalations.
