📋 Description
- • Lead the Appeals service team within Absence Management, overseeing LOA, STD, ADA, and LTD appeals processes to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely resolution of claims.
- • Develop and execute strategic business plans that align with market needs, drive process improvements, and anticipate future trends in claims and appeals management.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to identify gaps, integrate technology solutions, and enhance service delivery across platforms.
- • Manage departmental budget, performance metrics, and team development for a team of approximately 40 professionals, fostering accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
- • Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls are maintained by partnering with Risk and Compliance teams to uphold legal and procedural standards.
- • Contribute to Alight’s mission of building a healthier, more financially secure workforce by advancing excellence in absence management and claims operations.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in claims and appeals management.
- • At least 7 years of leadership experience in absence management.
- • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare, rehabilitation, or a related medical field.
- • Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training in operations strategy.
- • Proven experience leading a team of managers, overseeing a workforce of approximately 40 professionals.
