- • The Claims Systems Configuration Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of eviCore’s claims adjudication engine by managing configuration changes that directly impact how healthcare claims are processed and paid.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and coordinating claims system configuration requests using Jira, documenting changes in Excel checklists, testing configurations via SQL queries and Microsoft Access, validating post-production changes, and conducting root cause analysis on claim processing issues to maintain data integrity and process optimization.
- • The role sits within Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, which focuses on innovative pharmacy, care, and benefit solutions to improve health outcomes for millions; the team operates in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment dedicated to improving the vitality of those served.
- • In this role, you will develop technical proficiency in healthcare claims systems, gain hands-on experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, and Excel for data analysis, and build expertise in claims adjudication logic—positioning you for growth into senior configuration, analysis, or healthcare IT roles within a Fortune 500 health services organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a computer-related field preferred
- • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with claims or healthcare data required
- • One (1) year of experience of configuring medical claims systems required
- • Demonstrated ability to write and run basic queries using Microsoft SQL Server, required
- • At least one (1) year of experience working with Microsoft Access database, including data manipulation, required
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, and charts, preferred
