- • Leads and manages the full project implementation lifecycle for multiple credit and debit card processing projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of deliverables.
- • Directs project work teams and coordinates all phases of operational implementation using established PMI project management methodologies.
- • Facilitates work breakdown processes to define tasks, durations, effort, and dependencies, establishing comprehensive project schedules.
- • Partners with technology leaders to understand interdependencies and lead times, identifying necessary resources and building detailed project plans.
- • Drives cross-functional collaboration among team members from multiple disciplines, assigning responsibilities and leading meetings to meet delivery objectives.
- • Maintains and ensures completeness, currency, and proper storage of all project documentation.
- • Prepares and distributes project reports and communications to technology teams, sponsors, stakeholders, functional managers, and consultants.
- • Acts as the primary liaison between Velera and key client executive staff, managing expectations around timing, functionality, and business objectives for successful go-lives.
- • Coordinates integration elements including project plan development, execution, and change control for both internal and client-facing projects.
- • Troubleshoots project issues and escalates critical concerns to upper management when necessary.
- • Leads lessons learned exercises and participates in root cause analysis discussions to improve future project outcomes.
- • Ensures timely communication through structured planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure.
- • Collaborates with other project managers, subcontractors, external consultants, customer resources, and third-party providers to maintain project quality standards.
- • Facilitates project kick-off meetings, specification sessions, and client-facing discussions to align on business objectives and technical requirements.
- • Travels to client locations (up to 25%) to meet with client personnel, including IT teams, to discuss network connectivity, file mapping, and system specifications.
- • Maintains in-depth understanding of payment processing systems, card industry standards, ATM networks, and related financial technology products.
- • Maintains active interaction with credit unions, MasterCard, Visa, and other payment processors to coordinate product and project initiatives.
- • Performs other duties as assigned to support client delivery objectives and organizational goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 3 years of project management experience
- • 3 years of client-facing experience
- • 3 years of experience in the financial services industry with card processing and payment solutions preferred
- • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- • Working knowledge of enterprise project management tools and various project methodologies
