- • The Client Director, Team Lead role at Gartner is responsible for setting, directing, and executing strategy for global or major regional accounts of substantial strategic and revenue importance, carrying a sales quota while managing one to three direct reports focused on client value delivery, retention, and new business.
- • Day to day, the role involves gaining access to and developing trust-based, value-added relationships with senior technology leaders in large global accounts, leading account and territory strategy to drive YoY growth and retention, developing account solutions and license architectures, orchestrating planning with sales and cross-BU partners, coaching direct sales teams on best practices, translating client business strategy into value opportunities, attracting and retaining top talent using Gartner’s recruitment methodology, driving prospecting execution, becoming a trusted advisor across client locations, managing accounts for increased engagement and growth, owning quota for a specific multinational account, mastering Gartner’s sales methodology and products, driving consistent execution of proven best practices, providing line leadership and development for direct reports, ensuring forecast accuracy, and maintaining competitive knowledge.

- • In this role, the individual can learn and achieve mastery of Gartner’s proven sales methodology and products, develop expertise in global account planning and solution architecture for large technology accounts, build leadership and coaching skills through direct report management, drive significant revenue growth and retention for strategic clients, earn recognition through top-performer events like the Winners Circle, and advance professionally in a culture that rewards passion and performance with limitless growth opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years of experience with +10 years of sales experience, past leadership experience strongly preferred
- • Track record of success in a quota-bearing consultative selling environment, preferably in high technology (services or software) sales
- • Experience owning and developing new trust-based relationships with C-Level and senior level clients in large multinational companies
- • Proficient in global account planning, territory management, and developing solution/license architectures
- • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, influencing skills, executive presence, relationship building, sales acumen, collaboration, and compelling communications
- • Bachelor’s degree desired, Master’s degree a plus
