- • Communicate daily with clients via phone to understand their personal crises related to disability benefits or insurance compensation, guiding them through complex processes with empathy and clarity.
- • Assess each client’s situation to determine if Atticus can provide assistance, ensuring accurate triage and timely referrals to appropriate resources.
- • Become a trusted advisor by mastering internal platforms including Salesforce and other proprietary tools to efficiently manage client cases and documentation.
- • Navigate emotionally sensitive conversations with individuals experiencing illness, injury, or trauma, offering compassionate yet decisive guidance without prior legal expertise.
- • Manage a high volume of client interactions daily, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a client-first approach.
- • Measure success by the tangible impact on clients’ lives, including successful access to government benefits or insurance payouts totaling billions in aid.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and follow-up, contributing to a scalable, high-performing client experience system.
- • Maintain detailed, clear, and compliant records of all client interactions, ensuring data integrity and alignment with internal protocols and regulatory standards.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving processes, policy updates, and platform enhancements, demonstrating strong learning agility in a fast-growing startup environment.
- • Represent Atticus as a frontline ambassador of its mission, consistently delivering a supportive, non-sales-oriented experience that reflects the company’s B Corp values.
- • Engage with clients from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic backgrounds, fostering trust through active listening and culturally competent communication.
- • Participate in ongoing training and development to deepen knowledge of disability programs, insurance systems, and government benefit eligibility criteria.
- • Contribute to a culture of humility, thoughtfulness, and collaboration by sharing insights, feedback, and best practices with teammates.
- • Operate in a fully remote environment with structured support, clear performance metrics, and an uncapped bonus structure tied to client impact and outcomes.
- • Attend optional company retreats and offsites designed to strengthen team cohesion and reinforce shared mission-driven values.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from a top four-year university with strong academic performance
- • At least 1 year of professional work experience outside of internships (longer internships considered)
- • Ability to provide supportive yet efficient guidance during emotionally intense conversations with individuals in crisis
- • Strong written communication skills and ability to rapidly learn complex systems and processes
- • Proven capacity to manage multiple competing priorities with a strong work ethic
- • Experience working in a high-volume, high-performing service, sales, or support environment (bonus)
- • Completion of a socially-focused internship or significant volunteer experience (bonus)
