  • • Own the entire client onboarding lifecycle from signed contract to full-service launch, ensuring every new TaxValet customer experiences a seamless, white-glove transition that sets the tone for a long-term partnership.
  • • Build and continuously refine a repeatable, data-driven onboarding playbook that compresses time-to-value while maintaining 100 % compliance with each state’s unique sales-tax regulations.
  • • Serve as the single point of accountability for 15–25 concurrent onboarding projects, juggling kick-off calls, data migrations, API integrations, permit filings, and stakeholder training without letting anything slip.
  • • Translate complex sales-tax jargon into crystal-clear action items for clients ranging from first-time founders to seasoned CFOs, adapting your communication style to each audience and medium (Zoom, Slack, Notion, Loom, email).
  • • Partner with Sales, Success, Product, and Engineering to identify friction points in the current process and ship iterative improvements every month—think shorter forms, smarter automations, and proactive status dashboards.
  • • Run weekly internal stand-ups and client-facing steering committees, surfacing risks early and negotiating realistic timelines so that “surprise” is removed from everyone’s vocabulary.
  • • Design and monitor KPIs such as “Days to First Return Filed,” “NPS at 30 Days,” and “Revenue Under Management Activated,” turning insights into experiments that raise the bar quarter over quarter.
  • • Create and maintain living documentation in Notion, including SOPs, checklists, video tutorials, and policy wikis, so that knowledge is never siloed and new team members ramp in days, not weeks.
  • • Advocate for clients inside the company—flag product gaps, escalate engineering tickets, and lobby for roadmap items that will make their lives easier, faster, and less stressful.
  • • Champion our Core Purpose daily: when a client is anxious about an audit or overwhelmed by nexus rules, you transform that negative emotion into calm confidence through empathy, clarity, and decisive action.
  • • Travel up to 10 % for high-value onsite kickoffs or industry conferences; otherwise enjoy the freedom of 100 % remote work with a schedule you design around your life, not the other way around.
  • • Mentor junior coordinators and interns, turning them into project-management powerhouses who can eventually run their own book of business.
  • • Stay ahead of ever-changing state and local tax legislation, translating new rules into updated onboarding requirements before clients even know the law has shifted.
  • • Celebrate wins loudly—whether it’s a five-star G2 review, a client shout-out in Slack, or a teammate’s promotion—because positivity is the fuel that powers our distributed culture.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of high-volume client onboarding, implementation, or project-management experience in a SaaS, fintech, or professional-services environment.
  • • Demonstrated fluency with at least one formal PM methodology (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PMP, or equivalent) and the good judgment to know when to bend the rules.
  • • Advanced proficiency in modern collaboration tools—Notion, Slack, Zoom, Asana/ClickUp, Zapier, Google Workspace—and the curiosity to master new tech quickly.
  • • Nice-to-have: prior exposure to sales-tax compliance, e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon), or accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero).
