Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end performance of Pennant’s clinical application portfolio across 180+ senior living, home health, hospice, and home care operations. You will be the single point of accountability for ensuring that every EMR, interface, and point-of-care tool is not only technically sound but also a catalyst for faster documentation, shorter revenue cycles, and healthier margins.
- • Dive deep into real-world workflows. Ride along with nurses, therapists, billers, and executive directors in the field to observe how orders are signed, supplies are requisitioned, and medications are reconciled. Translate those observations into crisp, data-driven recommendations that reduce clicks, cut indirect labor costs, and accelerate every patient-lifecycle milestone.
- • Build and execute a continuous-improvement roadmap that balances quick wins (e.g., turning on an overlooked HCHB feature that saves two minutes per visit) with strategic bets (e.g., piloting an AI-driven coding assistant). Publish monthly KPI dashboards that show documentation time, workflow processing time, and cost per episode trending downward.
- • Design role-based training curricula that turn novice users into power users. Deliver live virtual sessions, quick-hit micro-learning videos, and searchable self-help libraries. Track adoption metrics and iterate relentlessly until every agency hits ≥90 % proficiency on core workflows.
- • Serve as the bridge between clinical operations, IT, and finance. Translate clinical pain points into technical requirements, negotiate vendor contracts that slash recurring fees, and quantify ROI in dollars and margin points that executive directors can present to their boards.
- • Troubleshoot escalated tickets with empathy and urgency. Identify recurring themes—such as duplicate lab interfaces or mismatched NDC codes—and build permanent fixes that eliminate the issue for all 180 sites. Maintain a knowledge base that reduces ticket volume by 25 % within twelve months.
- • Lead cross-functional project teams to roll out new modules (e.g., Forcura e-fax, Waystar RCM, Medalogix risk analytics). Scope the project, assign tasks, set timelines, and celebrate wins loudly when go-lives finish on time and under budget.
- • Monitor the competitive landscape. Attend user groups, dev councils, and HLTH conferences to spot emerging features or entirely new vendors that could give Pennant a first-mover advantage. Present quarterly “innovation briefs” to senior leadership with clear cost-benefit analyses.
- • Champion the CAPLICO culture in every interaction. Model Customer Second by removing friction for caregivers; demonstrate Accountability by owning both successes and misses; bring Passion for Learning to every training session; Love One Another by mentoring junior analysts; take Intelligent Risks on pilot programs; Celebrate victories big and small; and exhibit Ownership by treating every dollar saved as if it were your own.
- • Travel up to 50 % to partner agencies from coast to coast. While on site, run rapid-cycle Kaizen events, shadow clinicians during morning med passes, and host lunch-and-learns that leave staff energized and equipped to sustain improvements long after you depart.
