- • The Clinical Informatics Researcher role is critical to Dandelion Health’s mission of building the world’s largest AI training and clinical development platform by ensuring clinical data is accurately interpreted, modeled, and applied to advance responsible clinical AI and evidence generation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include querying complex EHR and multimodal clinical data sources (EMR, ECG, DICOM, waveforms), defining clinical vocabularies and ontologies, developing harmonized data models across health systems, advising on clinical research study design, validating data integrity, and collaborating with data scientists to translate research questions into operational datasets.
- • Dandelion Health is a mission-driven, early-stage health tech company founded in 2020 by leaders from health tech, hospital systems, academia, and clinical AI, partnering with major U.S. health systems to provide de-identified patient data for AI developers while prioritizing data quality and patient safety.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in clinical informatics, data modeling, and real-world evidence generation, gain hands-on experience with diverse clinical data types (including images, video, and waveforms), and contribute to regulatory-grade AI development while working in a collaborative, learning-focused startup environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Healthcare provider (MD, DO, or NP) preferred; or M.S. or PhD in a relevant clinical field
- • Clinical informatics certification (AMIA or ABMS), fellowship completion, or at least two years of direct clinical informatics experience
- • At least two years of clinical practice experience to understand real-world workflows and data representation
- • At least one year of experience in clinical research and retrospective study design
- • At least one year of experience querying EHR data with SQL fluency; Python/dbt experience strongly desirable
- • Strong expertise in clinical terminologies and standards including LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, HCPCS, RxNorm, NDC, and OMOP
