📋 Description

• Coordinates clinical program activities across departments to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with policies and funding limitations.
• Evaluates program effectiveness through data analysis and recommends actionable improvements to enhance patient care and departmental outcomes.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including funders, advisors, speakers, participants, and patients.
• Develops and distributes program communications, promotional materials, newsletters, brochures, and flyers from development through printing and distribution.
• Trains, develops, and empowers staff and volunteers to perform their roles effectively, providing technical guidance and policy interpretation.
• Monitors financial performance of programs and assists with short- and long-range budgetary planning to meet departmental goals.
• Prepares and submits detailed reports, financial statements, and records for internal management and external agencies.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information and hospital business data in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Manages and maintains established supply levels for designated program areas, including unit and supply rooms.
• Recruits and coordinates volunteers and program participants to support educational and health promotion initiatives.
• Builds cooperative and therapeutic relationships with patients and families from diverse populations to foster a professional, calm, and productive environment.
• Ensures adherence to all University and unit-level policies, procedures, and asset safeguarding protocols.
• Supports the mission of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute through the organization, production, and evaluation of patient-focused health promotion and educational programs.
• Provides general oversight of daily program operations, including direct supervision of volunteers and coordination with research departmental activities.
• Adapts to changing priorities and workflows with learning agility, applying new procedures, technologies, and protocols as needed.
• Utilizes office software and technology to manage communications, reporting, scheduling, and data tracking.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clinical staff, administrative teams, patients, and external partners.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment to streamline processes and improve departmental productivity.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in clinical program coordination or related role
• Strong technical proficiency in office software and computer applications
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient and institutional confidentiality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience training and supervising staff or volunteers
