đź“‹ Description
- • As a Clinical Quality Lead at Wheel Health Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the company's quality assurance and patient safety initiatives. This pivotal role ensures that our virtual care programs consistently meet the highest standards of quality and safety, directly contributing to Wheel's mission of providing premier virtual care at scale. You will be a key individual contributor, owning critical processes that safeguard patient well-being and enhance clinician performance within our innovative healthcare platform.
- • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of quality management activities. You will meticulously own the end-to-end execution of clinician chart audits, managing both manual uploads and spearheading the integration and long-term oversight of AI-driven audit workflows. This includes tracking performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. You will also coordinate closely with Clinician Success Leads (CSLs) to facilitate post-refresher chart reviews and the documentation of performance improvement plans (PIPs), ensuring clinicians receive timely and constructive feedback. A significant part of your role will involve supporting the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), which includes preparing clinician cases for review, meticulously documenting meeting proceedings, and diligently tracking the outcomes of QAC decisions to ensure accountability and continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining essential clinician education materials within Skilljar, ensuring that our clinical network has access to up-to-date and actionable resources. You will also own the critical task of editing snippets and guidelines to guarantee that all clinical content remains current, accurate, and practical for our clinicians.
- • Beyond direct quality assurance, you will play a crucial role in clinical incident and risk management. This involves thoroughly investigating clinical incidents, conducting in-depth chart audits to understand contributing factors, and collaborating with relevant teams to document root causes and formulate effective recommendations for mitigation. You will also draft corrective action language and contribute to the vital updates of our safety policies, ensuring they reflect best practices and evolving regulatory landscapes. Your responsibilities extend to assisting with internal documentation and reporting on safety trends, providing valuable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- • Your role will also involve significant contributions to metrics, reporting, and communication. You will be tasked with tracking and synthesizing key quality, safety, and clinician performance metrics, utilizing both manual processes and automated tools to ensure data accuracy and efficiency. A key aspect of this will be collaborating closely with our Business Intelligence (BI) and Research & Development (R&D) teams to streamline dashboards and audit reporting workflows, making data more accessible and actionable. You will also contribute to the creation of client-facing quality reports and materials for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), showcasing Wheel's commitment to excellence. Additionally, you will monitor antibiotic stewardship trends, identifying and surfacing system-level insights that can lead to improved patient outcomes and adherence to best practices.
- • A substantial component of this role is cross-functional collaboration. You will act as a tactical liaison, driving initiatives across Clinical Operations, Network Operations, R&D, Business Intelligence, and Customer Success. You will take independent initiative to identify and resolve bottlenecks, secure necessary alignments, and ensure seamless project progression. Your ability to independently troubleshoot and unblock operational hurdles or communication delays with both internal teams and contract clinician networks will be critical. You will coordinate quality documentation and audit schedules to support platform and clinician performance initiatives, ensuring alignment across different departments. Furthermore, you will create summary decks and reports to support operational briefings, facilitating clear communication and decision-making. You will also participate in the development of clinical intake questionnaires and the configuration of new treatment areas, ensuring quality considerations are embedded from the outset. Finally, you will assist with production testing to validate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) workflows prior to client launch, guaranteeing a smooth and effective implementation.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in clinical quality and patient safety within the rapidly growing field of digital health. You can expect to gain extensive experience in managing complex quality assurance processes, including the implementation of advanced AI tools for audits. You will develop strong cross-functional leadership skills by working with diverse teams and stakeholders. This position offers a unique chance to influence the strategic direction of quality and safety at a leading virtual care platform, contributing directly to patient outcomes and the company's success. You will hone your analytical and problem-solving abilities by tackling intricate operational challenges and developing data-driven solutions. The autonomy afforded in this role allows for significant professional growth and the development of a proactive, results-oriented work style.
