  • • Design, develop, and integrate robust physical and virtual networks for a government customer’s enterprise infrastructure, bridging legacy on-premises data centers with modern cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
  • • Support mission-critical U.S. national interest programs by delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud network solutions tailored to government requirements.
  • • Collaborate with a high-performance team to ensure seamless connectivity, performance optimization, and reliability across hybrid cloud architectures.
  • • Apply technical expertise to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network components including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual private clouds (VPCs).
  • • Implement network security best practices in alignment with federal compliance standards and government-specific security controls.
  • • Work directly with customers to understand technical needs, provide timely responses, and deliver exceptional customer service in a high-stakes operational environment.
  • • Document network configurations, change procedures, and operational workflows to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity across teams.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to improve network efficiency, reduce latency, enhance redundancy, and lower operational costs in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews for network outages or performance degradation events.
  • • Stay current with evolving cloud networking technologies in AWS and Azure, including Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, NACLs, security groups, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • • Ensure all network designs and implementations adhere to government procurement, acquisition, and IT modernization guidelines.
  • • Maintain strict adherence to security protocols, classification levels, and access controls required for handling sensitive government data.
  • • Coordinate with system administrators, security teams, and cloud architects to align network infrastructure with broader enterprise architecture goals.
  • • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades on network hardware and software without disrupting mission-critical operations.
  • • Provide on-call support as needed for urgent network issues impacting government mission continuity.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience designing and implementing cloud networks in AWS and Azure
  • • Proven track record of integrating legacy on-premises infrastructure with modern cloud environments
  • • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPC configurations
  • • Ability to work in a government-contract environment with strict compliance and security requirements
  • • Excellent customer service and communication skills for direct client interaction
  • • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improving network performance and reliability
