- • As a Cloud Security Engineer at eLEND Solutions, you will be a central part of our security operations, directly protecting our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, safeguarding sensitive financial data, and helping maintain a resilient security posture in a fully Microsoft-based, cloud-first mortgage technology company.
- • Day to day, you will monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts across Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps), investigate and remediate incidents with our MDR provider Arctic Wolf, manage identity access and Conditional Access policies in Entra ID, maintain Intune compliance policies, support DLP initiatives, document incidents for audit, and participate in on-call rotations for urgent security matters.
- • eLEND Solutions is modernizing mortgage through a cloud-first tech approach, operating a 100% Microsoft cloud environment with Microsoft 365 E5, Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM, and partnering with Arctic Wolf for MDR, Quisitive and Bishop Fox for security expertise, serving a primarily remote workforce with a collaboration-driven culture and strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
- • In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Microsoft security tools, contribute to security architecture and automation initiatives, develop runbooks and SOPs, participate in security planning and threat research, and build a foundation for advancement into senior security engineering, cloud architecture, or security leadership roles, supported by training, certification reimbursement, and mentorship.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud security tools (Azure, Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Purview) in production environments
- • Practical experience investigating and remediating incidents in Microsoft 365 environments using Microsoft Defender and/or Microsoft Sentinel
- • Understanding of Conditional Access policies, MFA enforcement strategies, patching workflows, and identity security principles
- • Comfort navigating Azure Portal and demonstrating foundational cloud security concepts
- • Working knowledge of ITIL incident management or formal incident response frameworks
- • Familiarity with compliance and audit concepts (SOC 2, financial regulations) as they relate to cloud security
- • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and escalate appropriately
- • Clear communication skills—ability to document findings, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate across teams
- • Curiosity and initiative to understand the business purpose behind security controls and how they enable operations

- • Base Salary: $103,000 – $129,000 (commensurate with experience)
