- • The COBRA Specialist role is critical to ensuring compliance and seamless administration of COBRA benefits for clients and participants, directly supporting OneSource Virtual’s mission to deliver transformative HR, payroll, and finance solutions through its BPaaS platform for Workday customers.
- • This position plays a vital role in maintaining regulatory adherence and participant satisfaction by managing the end-to-end COBRA lifecycle, from qualifying events to premium processing, thereby reducing risk and enhancing trust in OSV’s service delivery.
- • Provides professional and timely service to internal and external customers via telephone, email, and in-person interactions, ensuring all inquiries are addressed accurately and promptly to uphold OSV’s reputation for uncompromising support.
- • Processes qualifying events, participant terminations, and updates in accordance with federal COBRA regulations, maintaining precise records and timely actions to prevent compliance gaps.
- • Resolves COBRA administration service issues by collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, troubleshooting discrepancies and escalating when necessary to ensure uninterrupted service.
- • Advises COBRA participants on regulatory requirements including grace periods, election timelines, payment deadlines, and continuation of coverage, empowering them with clear, accurate guidance.
- • Processes premium payments received from participants, reconciles transactions, and updates records in HRIS systems to ensure timely and accurate billing cycles.
- • Manages all incoming and outgoing COBRA-related correspondence, including notices, election forms, and termination letters, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness.
- • Meets or exceeds established performance standards for accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction, contributing to team KPIs and OSV’s service excellence benchmarks.
- • Participates in Open Enrollment planning and implementation, supporting seasonal spikes in COBRA activity by preparing communications, updating systems, and assisting with participant education.
- • Assumes other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced, evolving service environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent required
- • 1-2 years of related experience in customer service, benefits administration, or HR operations
- • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and HRIS systems
- • Knowledge of COBRA and federal regulations governing continuation of coverage
- • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish language skills
- • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
