- • The Leave Administrator at National Geographic Society plays a critical role in supporting employee well-being by managing all aspects of leave administration, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include administering FMLA, short- and long-term disability, parental, family, military, and other statutory leaves; coordinating ADA accommodations and managing medical documentation; advising employees, managers, and HR Business Partners on leave policies and benefits; maintaining accurate leave records in the HRIS; overseeing workers’ compensation claims from intake to resolution, including OSHA reporting; and collaborating with external partners like The Hartford and Legal Affairs to manage complex claims and state paid leave programs.
