📋 Description
- • The Commercial Banking — Expert AI Trainer role at Mentis Technology Solutions Inc. is a unique opportunity for senior banking professionals to shape the future of AI in financial services by translating deep domain expertise into rigorous evaluation frameworks for frontier AI systems.
- • Day to day, you will develop and iterate realistic prompts to test AI-generated insights, systematically compare human versus machine judgment in investment reasoning, design problem frameworks that reflect real-world commercial banking workflows (including loan structuring, credit facilities, balance sheet management, and risk), and construct and validate expert benchmarks using actual credit cases, client-coverage systems, and portfolio management methodologies.
- • You will join a globally distributed team based in London and San Francisco, combining institutional investment expertise from firms like Lazard and Partners Group with cutting-edge AI research, collaborating directly with leading AI labs to improve how models reason and generalize in high-stakes financial contexts.
- • In this role, you will gain hands-on experience influencing the direction of AI in banking, deepen your understanding of AI evaluation methodologies, contribute to pioneering research at the intersection of finance and machine learning, and position yourself at the forefront of responsible AI adoption in institutional settings.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience at a major commercial bank (e.g., HSBC, BNP Paribas, Santander, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, UniCredit, Crédit Agricole, Standard Chartered, Emirates NBD, First National Bank)
- • Background as a Senior Credit/Risk Analyst or Product Manager
- • Deep expertise in corporate, SME, or retail banking, including credit analysis, lending products, and balance-sheet/risk management
- • Experience conducting borrower and industry analysis, writing credit memos and client materials, and engaging directly with senior client stakeholders
- • Familiarity with client reporting, portfolio and risk monitoring, and internal credit or risk-policy constraints
- • Genuine intellectual curiosity about the application of AI in institutional banking and risk management
