📋 Description

• As Commercial Counsel at Chainalysis, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the global commercial legal function and driving smart revenue by advising internal and external stakeholders on cryptocurrency and blockchain data analytics matters.
• You will create, review, negotiate, and manage data services and SaaS commercial agreements for private and public sector customers worldwide, while collaborating closely with go-to-market, operations, marketing, infosec, engineering, and product teams to support transactional goals.
• You will navigate data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) and security issues in complex transactions, prioritize customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction, and build scalable processes that support rapid business growth.
• You will develop deep expertise in Chainalysis’ sales process, contracting model, and business strategy, becoming a trusted business partner to senior sales leadership and a key advisor on product launches and commercial decisions.
• The Commercial Legal team is critical to enabling revenue growth by applying sound, risk-appropriate judgment in support of the Go-to-Market team and other functions across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and solid in-house or top-tier law firm experience within the technology industry
• Experience negotiating with public sector and/or financial institutions strongly preferred
• Experience supporting a global sales team at a B2B, rapid-growth technology company
• Experience with or solid understanding of GDPR and CCPA in a transactional setting, including reviewing DPAs and advising on compliance and information security issues
• Excellent critical-thinking skills, judgment, and ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to occasionally support global sales teams outside of local business hours
