- • As the Commercial Director for the US market at dash0 GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company’s commercial sales organization by leading, coaching, and expanding a team of Commercial Account Executives focused on acquiring new logos in the mid-market segment. This player-coach position requires you to not only drive team performance and revenue targets but also actively close high-priority deals yourself, ensuring you lead by example while shaping the US commercial sales motion from prospecting to execution.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning and driving the team’s revenue targets, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy; personally closing strategic deals to demonstrate best practices; defining and refining the US commercial sales playbook in collaboration with leadership; partnering with Sales Development, Marketing, and Solutions Architecture to align on pipeline generation and conversion; implementing structured coaching routines, deal reviews, and pipeline management disciplines; and continuously iterating on sales motions to improve win rates and sales efficiency in a high-growth environment.
- • You will join a fast-moving, builder-minded team at dash0, an OpenTelemetry-native observability platform backed by top-tier investors including Balderton Capital, Accel, and Cherry Ventures. The company is in a rapid growth phase post-Series B, committed to eliminating vendor lock-in and reducing toil through transparent pricing and AI-centric innovation. As a founding leader in the US commercial effort, you’ll help define how dash0 wins in one of its most strategic markets, working directly with the founding team and leadership to shape go-to-market strategy.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and scale a sales organization from the ground up, gaining deep experience in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing high-performing Account Executives. You’ll refine your expertise in value-based selling methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message, strengthen your ability to forecast and manage complex sales cycles, and grow as a leader who balances individual contribution with team development — all while contributing to a mission-driven company shaping the future of observability.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing a commercial or mid-market sales team
- • Consistent track record of exceeding team revenue targets and driving predictable pipeline generation
- • Proven experience building or scaling a sales team from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, and coaching Account Executives
- • Strong command of value-based sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar frameworks
- • Ability to operate effectively as a player-coach — closing deals personally while leading and developing a team
- • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
