đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Commercial Manager within the Deal Team at SkyNRG, you will be positioned at the nexus of commercial, financial, and technical decision-making, playing a pivotal role in shaping groundbreaking deals that are set to redefine the aviation and heavy industry sectors.
  • • This role is central to SkyNRG's ambitious mission to significantly scale its Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production capacity. You will be instrumental in advancing key Capacity Development (CapDev) projects, such as the SkyKraft facility in Sweden and the Wigeon project in the United States, guiding them towards Final Investment Decision (FID).
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to lead complex, high-value international offtake negotiations. These negotiations are critical for underpinning our CapDev and Corporate Development (CorpDev) initiatives, ensuring the financial viability and strategic success of our large-scale SAF production facilities.
  • • You will take full ownership of structuring and closing long-term offtake agreements for SAF and its by-products. These agreements will be established with major airlines, fuel suppliers, and multinational corporations, forming the bedrock of our production capacity.
  • • Leveraging your extensive expertise in complex commercial structuring, adept contract negotiations, and sophisticated financial modeling for new business development, you will operate with confidence at the intersection of commercial strategy, financing requirements, and techno-operational realities.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to translate strategic ambitions into agreements that are not only commercially sound but also bankable and financeable, meeting the stringent requirements of project financing.
  • • Your collaborative approach will be essential as you work closely with colleagues at our headquarters. You will serve as a key business ally to the Head of Deal Team, CapDev project teams, Corporate Development, Legal Counsel, and Executive leadership.
  • • Simultaneously, you will focus on building and nurturing trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders at airlines, fuel suppliers, and other multinational corporate partners.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical activities, including:
  • • Structuring and leading the negotiation of long-term, high-value offtake agreements within intricate international frameworks.
  • • Expertly managing commercial negotiations with a diverse set of stakeholders, including airlines, fuel suppliers, corporate entities, and legal and financial advisors.
  • • Serving as the primary commercial interface, bridging the gap between project teams (encompassing technical, operational, and finance functions) and external counterparties.
  • • Collaborating closely with legal counsel to translate complex commercial agreements into legally robust and enforceable contracts.
  • • Preparing comprehensive and persuasive decision-making materials for executive committee (ExCo) and Board-level approval.
  • • Developing and meticulously maintaining sophisticated financial models to underpin deal structuring, valuation, and negotiation strategies.
  • • Overseeing day-to-day stakeholder communication, ensuring seamless information flow and relationship management across all internal and external parties.
  • • Actively driving the offtake processes for significant projects, including but not limited to SkyKraft, Wigeon, and Delfzijl.
  • • Providing crucial support to the Corporate Development team on commercial deal structuring and strategic initiatives.
  • • This role demands a strategic and analytical mindset, coupled with strong commercial instincts and a proven ability to lead complex, high-stakes discussions with confidence.
  • • You must be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders at large international corporations and possess excellent relationship-building skills, thriving in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex international commercial processes, with a demonstrated track record in deal-making and contract negotiations, preferably within new business development for large-scale infrastructure and/or energy projects (e.g., NBD, M&A, commercial contracting).
  • • Essential knowledge includes complex commercial structuring, advanced financial modeling (particularly in Excel), and a solid understanding of Capex financing dynamics for project-financed infrastructure assets.
  • • A Master's degree in finance, business, law, technology, engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • • Experience in the aviation, fuels, energy, industrial, or sustainable product sectors is highly desirable, as is experience in entrepreneurial or fast-growing environments.
  • • A clear motivation to contribute to the energy transition and an understanding of renewable energy markets and SAF are significant advantages.
  • • You will be a creative problem-solver with a knack for commercial structuring, adept at building relationships and communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders in a dynamic, evolving industry.
