📋 Description
- • Stewart Title Guaranty Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Title & Escrow Officer to join their esteemed team. This remote position, based in Texas, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a company recognized for its commitment to employee growth and development, as evidenced by its inclusion in the 2024-2025 Best Companies to Work For by U.S. News & World Report and a 2025 Top Workplace by USA Today. As a Commercial Title & Escrow Officer, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating complex commercial real estate transactions, ensuring a seamless and professional closing process for all parties involved.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to establish new commercial escrow accounts and meticulously process all associated escrow documents in strict adherence to established company policies and procedures. This involves managing the intricate details of each transaction, from initial setup to final disbursement, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step.
- • You will serve as a neutral and trusted third-party intermediary between buyers and sellers in commercial real estate sales. This critical function involves the secure management of funds and the precise processing of all real estate transaction components, safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be to collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, and lenders. You will act in an advisory capacity, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues that could impact title insurability prior to closing. This requires a deep understanding of title regulations and a keen eye for detail to preemptively address any title-related concerns.
- • Effective communication is paramount. You will be responsible for liaising with clients and various third parties to gather necessary documentation required to clear any title-related issues. This includes addressing missing information, incomplete or inaccurate data, and contradictory details found within the title commitment, all while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- • Your work will directly contribute to the success of your team and the broader organization. You will need to understand how your team integrates with other departments to achieve collective objectives, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- • You will be expected to impact the quality, timeliness, and overall effectiveness of the team's output through your diligent work and proactive approach. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining Stewart's reputation for excellence in commercial real estate services.
- • This role involves recognizing and solving both typical and atypical problems that arise during commercial transactions. You will be empowered to select solutions from established options whenever possible, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- • You will be tasked with evaluating and selecting appropriate solutions from existing precedents or established procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- • Clear and concise communication of complex information is essential. You will need to effectively explain intricate details, including the interdependencies within your team and with other departments, ensuring all parties are well-informed.
- • This position operates under limited supervision, allowing for a degree of discretion in modifying work practices and processes to achieve optimal results and enhance efficiency. You will be expected to take initiative and drive improvements where appropriate.
- • As an individual contributor, you will serve as a valuable resource for less experienced team members, offering guidance and support. While you will not have direct supervisory responsibilities, your mentorship will be crucial for team development.
- • You will be expected to perform all other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever needed to support the company's goals and operational needs.
- • This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow procedures, who thrives in a remote work environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
