- • As a Commissioning Manager at Ameresco, Inc., you will lead a multi-disciplined commissioning team responsible for bringing new Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) processing plants and electrical assets online, playing a critical role in advancing the company’s mission to decarbonize and enhance energy resilience across public and private sectors.
- • Day to day, you will manage onsite commissioning efforts focused on mechanical systems and piping, oversee commissioning engineers and technicians, conduct site walkdowns with contractors, develop and tailor commissioning procedures, witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), maintain safety protocols, troubleshoot equipment, manage punch lists, procure tools and parts, and administer performance testing to verify systems meet promised criteria.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in renewable energy commissioning, strengthen leadership and cross-functional coordination skills, gain hands-on experience with complex utility-grade infrastructure, and contribute directly to Ameresco’s net-zero goals while advancing your career in a mission-driven, innovative organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- • Minimum of seven (7) years of commissioning and utility grade infrastructure projects and/or renewable energy projects, specifically Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) processing plants.
- • Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
- • Proficient with MS Office Suite of Tools including MS Word, Excel, Project.
- • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
- • Ability to travel for extended periods of time; expected to be around 50% based on project volume.
