  • • Community Associate at ALX Africa in Casablanca plays a pivotal role in strengthening the learner and alumni ecosystem by ensuring seamless execution of community initiatives that foster connection, engagement, and long-term impact across Morocco’s growing tech talent network.
  • • This role is essential to ALX Africa’s mission of empowering 2 million Africans by 2030 with sustainable tech careers, as it directly supports the operational backbone of community engagement that drives retention, advocacy, and real-world outcomes for learners and alumni.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of online and offline community events such as workshops, meetups, and alumni gatherings; coordinating logistics, participant experience, and post-event feedback collection to ensure high-quality, impactful experiences.
  • • Managing day-to-day activity on community platforms including WhatsApp, Telegram, and internal tools by monitoring conversations, ensuring timely responses, moderating discussions, and disseminating key announcements, opportunities, and program updates to maintain active and informed community spaces.
  • • Supporting the implementation of community-led initiatives such as ambassador programs, referral drives, peer-learning clubs, and storytelling campaigns by identifying and engaging active members, coordinating user-generated content, and amplifying community voices.
  • • Tracking and reporting on key engagement metrics — including attendance, participation rates, and activity levels — using Excel or Google Sheets to maintain dashboards, generate insights, and support data-informed decision-making for the Community Lead and broader team.
  • • Ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Operations, and Program teams to align community activities with organizational goals, support campaign execution, and maintain consistent messaging across touchpoints.
  • • Maintaining strong, proactive communication with learners and alumni by responding to inquiries, facilitating connections, and nurturing relationships that enhance belonging and long-term engagement within the ALX Morocco community.
  • • Contributing to the operational excellence of ALX Morocco’s community strategy by helping to operationalize plans, follow through on commitments, and adapt quickly to evolving needs in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  • • Gaining hands-on experience in community building, event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and data tracking within a high-impact, pan-African tech education organization that is shaping the future of work on the continent.
  • • Developing professional skills in project management, communication, digital platform management, and community analytics while working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to equity, innovation, and youth empowerment in Africa’s tech landscape.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2–4 years of experience in community management, events, operations, or similar roles involving coordination of people-focused initiatives.
  • • Strong organizational and execution skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • • Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) to engage diverse audiences including learners, alumni, and partners across Morocco and beyond.
  • • Experience organizing online and/or offline events or community activities, including logistics coordination, participant experience management, and post-event follow-up.
  • • Basic data literacy with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets to track metrics, maintain dashboards, and support reporting on engagement and participation.
  • • Familiarity with community platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, or similar tools, including moderation, communication, and content dissemination practices.
