📋 Description

• The Community Lead will drive the planning and execution of community activations across North America, supporting the Sui Foundation’s mission to onboard the next billion users to Web3 by advancing the adoption of the Sui blockchain.
• Day to day responsibilities include nurturing and growing US-based communities through high-quality content and meaningful online experiences, developing top talent within the community to lead grassroots events, managing end-to-end planning and execution of workshops and events (including project timelines, marketing, vendor and budget management), collaborating with teams to define event goals and key messages, and cross-collaborating to create relevant, engaging content for the community.
• The Sui Foundation is an independent organization dedicated to the advancement and adoption of the Sui network, committed to decentralization principles of transparency, open communication, and direct community engagement to build trust and level the playing field in Web3.
• In this role, the person will develop leadership and strategic event management skills, deepen expertise in Web3 and DeFi ecosystems, build a measurable impact on community growth and engagement, and help shape the foundation’s thought leadership and grassroots outreach across North America.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in community engagement
• Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience managing both online and offline communities, particularly in web3
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with the builder community members in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including DEXs, staking, lending, liquidity protocols and stablecoins
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Passion for community building and a genuine desire to foster a positive and inclusive community
• Flexibility and desire to travel frequently and work irregular hours
