  • • Join a leading Fortune 500 financial services client as a pivotal Compliance Consultant, specializing in Conduct and Ethics. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and ethical standards of a major financial institution, providing essential day-to-day support for central compliance functions. Your expertise will directly contribute to mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to stringent regulatory requirements within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • • You will be responsible for the comprehensive review and approval of various compliance-related activities. This includes meticulously examining requests for gifts and entertainment to ensure they align with company policy and ethical guidelines. Furthermore, you will assess outside business activities to identify any potential conflicts of interest or reputational risks. A key part of your role will involve managing personal trading pre-clearance requests, ensuring that employees' personal investments do not create conflicts with their professional responsibilities or the firm's interests.
  • • A significant aspect of your contribution will involve the proactive identification and assessment of potential conflicts of interest. You will analyze transactions and firm touchpoints, delving into the intricacies of deals and client interactions to pinpoint any areas of concern. This analytical work will involve documenting your findings, meticulously tracking deal updates, and formulating robust recommendations for conflict mitigation strategies. Your insights will be crucial in safeguarding the firm from potential legal and reputational damage.
  • • You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the firm's restricted and watch lists. This involves a continuous evaluation of transactions and market activities to determine their impact on these lists. You will collaborate closely with legal, compliance, and deal teams to assess material non-public information (MNPI) and inside information, ensuring that the lists are up-to-date and effective in preventing insider trading and other illicit activities.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to the vigilant review, monitoring, and escalation of relevant personal trading and transactional activity. This includes handling complex wall-crossing requests, where individuals need to be granted access to MNPI, and processing trade pre-clearances for employees in public-side businesses. Your diligence in these areas is paramount to maintaining market integrity and compliance.
  • • You will be a key point of contact for regulatory interactions, responsible for drafting and coordinating responses to regulatory examinations and information requests. This requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to articulate the firm's compliance posture clearly and effectively. Your work will directly support the firm's relationship with securities regulators and self-regulatory organizations.
  • • This role demands a proactive and analytical mindset, with a strong ability to identify potential issues before they escalate. You will need to develop clear and concise rationales for your decisions, ensuring that all compliance actions are well-documented and defensible. The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and organize complex information will be essential for success in this demanding yet rewarding position.
  • • By joining Axiom as a consultant, you will become part of a global leader in on-demand legal talent, working with a prestigious Fortune 500 client. You will gain invaluable experience in a high-stakes financial services environment, contributing to the ethical framework of a major industry player. This opportunity offers a chance to leverage your compliance expertise, enhance your professional network, and contribute to the critical function of maintaining conduct and ethical standards in the financial sector.
