📋 Description

• The Compliance Specialist at Connexus Credit Union plays a critical role in ensuring the organization adheres to federal regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices, directly supporting the credit union’s mission to serve members across all 50 states with integrity and trust.
• Day to day, the role involves coordinating quarterly compliance and loan reviews, monitoring regulatory updates from agencies like the NCUA and CFPB, reviewing marketing materials and consumer disclosures for compliance, assisting with audit preparations, managing the Compliance Help Desk, and collaborating with Risk Management and Fraud departments on BSA/AML/OFAC matters.

• In this role, the Compliance Specialist will deepen expertise in financial services regulations, gain hands-on experience with audit and risk management processes, develop training and guidance materials, and position themselves for advancement through certification maintenance and involvement in enterprise-wide compliance initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
• 1+ years of experience in a compliance role within the financial industry
• Ability to obtain and maintain the America’s Credit Unions compliance certification within 18 months of hire
