- • Manage the CMDB process for Rolls-Royce North America with strict focus on CUI (NORFORN and Basic) compliance requirements.
- • Serve as Control Owner for CMMC Asset Management and Configuration Management across all IT systems.
- • Own and execute responsibilities for CM (Configuration Management), MA (Maintenance), and MP (Media Protection) controls under NIST frameworks.
- • Act as Consulted/Informed party for AU (Audit and Accountability) and SI (System and Information Integrity) controls in compliance programs.
- • Track, review, approve, or disapprove, and log all changes to organizational system designs and tooling data to maintain integrity and compliance.
- • Define, document, approve, and enforce physical and logical access restrictions tied to system changes, ensuring supplier adherence and evidentiary compliance.
- • Ensure all system changes adhere to the principle of least functionality by configuring systems to enable only essential capabilities.
- • Review and enforce the restriction, disablement, or prevention of nonessential programs, functions, ports, protocols, and services across organizational systems.
- • Implement and monitor deny-by-exception (blacklisting) and deny-all, permit-by-exception (whitelisting) policies for software execution.
- • Maintain proficiency in asset management and SAM tools including Snow and ServiceNow for accurate tracking and reporting.
- • Control and monitor user-installed software within US-delivered CUI NORFORN environments to prevent unauthorized installations.
- • Manage the software asset management function across a large-scale enterprise, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
- • Apply deep understanding of software licensing models for Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMWare, and Red Hat to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
- • Identify opportunities to reduce licensing costs through optimization, renegotiation, and rationalization of software assets.
- • Actively participate in IT projects to embed compliant, optimized software licensing practices and establish ongoing compliance monitoring mechanisms.
- • Respond to and manage all vendor audit requests related to software usage, entitlements, and licensing compliance.
- • Oversee the administration, configuration, and enhancement of software asset management tooling platforms to support accurate reporting and automation.
- • Collaborate with IT Operations and Solution Teams to align configuration and asset management practices with NIST v2 and v3 best practices.
- • Ensure all processes and controls support CMMC and NIST compliance objectives through policy application, documentation, and audit readiness.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field with 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management and Asset Management
- • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field with 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management and Asset Management
- • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of direct experience in NIST-aligned Configuration Management and Asset Management
- • Must be a U.S. Citizen (Permanent Residents eligible) residing in the United States
- • Proficient in asset management and SAM tools such as Snow and ServiceNow
- • Strong understanding of software licensing models for Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMWare, and Red Hat
