• • As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and developing comprehensive management plans for individuals seeking alternative therapeutic options. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating symptoms, understanding patient needs, and guiding them through the process of medical cannabis treatment.
• • A key aspect of this role involves contributing to the robust evidence base for medical cannabis by actively engaging in clinical outcome data collection. This data-driven approach ensures that our treatments are not only effective but also adhere to the highest standards of evidence-based practice, allowing us to continuously refine and improve patient care protocols.
• • You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with skilled nurses and pharmacists. This collaborative model is designed to optimize patient care pathways, allowing you to concentrate on your core expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescribing, while other team members manage pre-consultation assessments and post-consultation follow-ups.
• • Upholding the highest standards of clinical governance is paramount. You will be expected to contribute to maintaining and enhancing our robust patient care standards, ensuring that all treatments and interactions meet regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines.
• • Continuous professional development is a cornerstone of our philosophy. Montu UK is committed to supporting your growth through bespoke specialist training in cannabis-based medicines (CBPMs), including sponsored attendance at recognised Medical Cannabis Courses for Specialist Physicians. You will also benefit from expert-led training sessions from leading figures in the field, such as Professor Anup Mathew and Dr. Gerard Sinovich.
• • This role offers significant flexibility, with options for both full-time and part-time engagement. The remote nature of the position allows for a healthy work-life balance, with no requirement for night shifts or on-call duties. You will have the autonomy to structure your working hours and days, with standard session lengths of 4 hours, and individual appointment durations of 15 minutes for both new and existing patients.
• • To ensure a smooth transition and proficiency with our systems, an initial commitment of a minimum of 2 sessions per week (8 hours) is required during the onboarding period. This allows you to become fully acquainted with Montu’s platform and clinical protocols.
