- • As a Consumer Relations Representative 1 at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, you will serve as a frontline advocate for customers, playing a critical role in shaping brand perception by resolving inquiries and complaints with empathy, accuracy, and compliance—directly influencing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repurchase intent in a global tire leader.
- • You will handle inbound consumer interactions via phone, email, and written correspondence, providing timely and accurate information about Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly tire products and services while maintaining up-to-date product knowledge to ensure consistent, informed responses that reflect the company’s commitment to quality and safety.
- • You will adhere strictly to established Consumer Relations guidelines and quality standards, ensuring all resolutions meet or exceed internal compliance benchmarks, customer satisfaction metrics, and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls, while completing all mandatory training to maintain certification and proficiency.
- • You will document every customer interaction with precision in the company’s CRM and tracking systems, capturing verbatim feedback, issue categorization, and resolution details to support business intelligence initiatives, identify emerging product or service trends, and flag potential spikes requiring escalation to quality or engineering teams.
- • You will exercise authorized discretion to execute program-compliant resolutions, including approving refunds, rebates, or goodwill gestures up to $500, in strict alignment with Goodyear’s Consumer Relations policies, ensuring financial accountability and audit readiness while delivering fair and satisfactory outcomes.
- • You will proactively identify and escalate potential legal, regulatory, or media-sensitive situations—such as product safety concerns, recalls, or public relations risks—according to defined escalation protocols, helping protect the company’s reputation and ensuring timely, compliant responses.
- • You will collaborate within a dedicated Consumer Relations team that values continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and customer-centric innovation, contributing to a culture where frontline insights drive product enhancements and service refinements across Goodyear’s global operations.
- • Through this role, you will develop deep expertise in consumer affairs within a Fortune 500 manufacturing leader, gaining transferable skills in conflict resolution, regulatory compliance, data-driven service improvement, and cross-functional communication—positioning you for advancement into senior consumer relations, quality assurance, or customer experience leadership roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- • Four-year secondary (college/university) degree
- • ASE (Auto Service Excellence) certification
- • 1-2 years of previous contact center or related customer service experience (preferred)
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills
- • Effective problem-solving abilities
