  • • The Contract Life Science Recruiter at Iambic Therapeutics plays a critical role in accelerating the company’s mission to deliver better medicines through AI-driven drug discovery by managing full-cycle recruiting for high-impact scientific, technical, and corporate roles during a defined engagement period.   • • The role is essential for maintaining momentum in a fast-paced, high-growth biotech environment where securing top talent in niche life science domains is a competitive advantage and a key driver of innovation and pipeline advancement.
  • • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including intake meetings with hiring managers, proactive sourcing, resume screening, interview coordination, offer support, and candidate closure, ensuring each step is executed efficiently and professionally.
  • • Drive efficient hiring processes with a relentless focus on speed to hire, quality of hire, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Iambic’s values and employer brand.
  • • Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, team dynamics, hiring urgency, and ideal candidate profiles, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the search process.
  • • Execute data-informed sourcing and recruiting strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, employee referrals, professional networks, and targeted outreach to identify and engage both active and passive talent pools.
  • • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for critical functions, including research, discovery, clinical development, data science, and corporate roles, ensuring readiness for current and future hiring needs.
  • • Support offer development and negotiation in collaboration with HR and hiring managers, adhering to established compensation guidelines and compliance standards while advocating for competitive, equitable offers.
  • • Maintain accurate, auditable, and compliant candidate records within the Ashby applicant tracking system, ensuring data integrity and readiness for reporting or regulatory review.
  • • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with internal policies, EEO standards, and relevant legal requirements, promoting fairness and consistency across all candidate interactions.
  • • Deliver a professional, respectful, and engaging candidate experience at every touchpoint, from initial outreach to onboarding, reinforcing Iambic’s reputation as an employer of choice in the life sciences.
  • • Represent Iambic Therapeutics positively in all external interactions with candidates, agencies, vendors, and professional networks, upholding the company’s mission and culture.
  • • Partner with the Talent Acquisition lead and broader HR team to share market insights, refine recruiting tactics, and contribute to continuous improvement of hiring processes.
  • • Develop expertise in life science talent markets, including understanding the nuances of recruiting for AI-driven drug discovery roles, computational biology, medicinal chemistry, and translational science positions.
  • • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge recruiting technologies and AI-adjacent hiring practices within a pioneering biotech that integrates machine learning into therapeutic development.
  • • Strengthen consultative recruiting skills by advising scientific and technical hiring managers on market realities, candidate availability, and effective assessment techniques.
  • • Enhance project management and multitasking abilities by juggling multiple complex searches with varying timelines, stakeholder needs, and role complexities.
  • • Deepen knowledge of compliance and ethical recruiting practices in a regulated industry context, preparing for senior talent acquisition or HR leadership roles.
  • • Contribute meaningfully to Iambic’s growth trajectory by helping build the teams that will advance its pipeline of first-in-class and best-in-class clinical assets.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with direct experience in biotech, life sciences, or pharmaceutical recruiting strongly preferred
  • • Proven experience recruiting for scientific, technical, or specialized roles (e.g., research scientists, computational biologists, data scientists, clinicians) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent searches while maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and delivering positive candidate experiences
  • • Expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter; experience with Ashby ATS is strongly preferred
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • • Solid understanding of recruiting compliance standards, EEO guidelines, and best practices in ethical talent acquisition
