- • As a Contract Negotiator II at Centene Corporation, you will play a critical role in expanding and maintaining the provider network that serves 28 million members across the United States, directly impacting access to quality healthcare in Iowa and surrounding regions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include recruiting physicians, hospitals, and ancillary service providers to sign network participation agreements, leading end-to-end recruitment efforts, ensuring contracts are complete and accurate, facilitating provider setup and contract configuration for proper claims adjudication, identifying potential providers based on geographic and specialty needs, coordinating with internal teams and providers to maintain compliance, and performing other duties as assigned while adhering to all corporate policies and standards.
- • You will join a diversified, national healthcare organization committed to transforming community health, where your work supports Centene’s mission of improving lives through innovative, accessible care, with the flexibility of a remote role based in Iowa and occasional travel for provider and internal meetings.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in healthcare contracting, provider relations, and regulatory compliance, gaining valuable experience in negotiating complex agreements, navigating state and federal healthcare programs (such as Medicaid and Medicare), and building strategic partnerships that strengthen regional healthcare networks.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- • 2+ years of experience in contracting, contract analysis, provider relations, or provider settings within a hospital, physician’s office, or group environment
- • Familiarity with State and/or Federal healthcare programs, particularly Medicaid and Medicare, is preferred
- • Must reside in Iowa or a nearby bordering state due to occasional travel requirements across the state
