Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own end-to-end quality for new product initiatives at PrecisionAQ, a leader in precision medicine technology. You will design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test strategies that safeguard patient data integrity and regulatory compliance across cloud-native applications.
  • • Partner daily with software architects, product owners, and cross-functional scrum teams to translate complex user stories into precise test cases. Your early involvement in sprint planning ensures that quality gates are embedded from design through release, reducing defect leakage and accelerating time-to-market for life-saving analytics.
  • • Build and maintain a reusable library of test scenarios, checklists, and regression packs that cover functional, boundary, negative, and user-experience paths. By continuously refining these assets, you will empower junior QA staff and enable rapid onboarding for new team members.
  • • Execute exploratory, usability, and acceptance testing on web, API, and data-pipeline layers. You will log, triage, and prioritize defects in Jira, providing crystal-clear reproduction steps and collaborating with developers to confirm fixes in CI/CD pipelines.
  • • Validate data transformations and calculations that power precision-medicine algorithms. You will compare source-to-target data sets, verify statistical outputs, and ensure that patient privacy controls (HIPAA, GDPR) are never compromised.
  • • Champion a culture of quality across the organization by leading defect retrospectives, publishing QA dashboards, and presenting metrics that influence product roadmap decisions. Your insights will directly shape how clinicians and researchers interact with our platform.
  • • Contribute to the evolution of our QA framework by evaluating new tools, scripting lightweight automation where it adds value, and mentoring peers on best practices for risk-based testing in an agile, remote-first environment.
  • • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate manual test results into release gates, ensuring every deployment meets the rigorous standards expected by pharmaceutical partners and regulatory bodies.
  • • Provide on-call support during critical release windows, quickly assessing production issues, reproducing them in lower environments, and verifying hot-fixes to maintain 99.9% uptime for global users.
  • • Stay current with FDA guidance, HL7 FHIR standards, and emerging trends in precision-medicine software so that our test strategies remain compliant and future-proof.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline
  • • 3+ years of hands-on manual QA experience in web, API, and data-centric applications
  • • Proven ability to design test plans, cases, and traceability matrices from user stories and technical specs
  • • Strong SQL skills for data validation and ability to query relational and semi-structured data sources
  • • Nice-to-have: working knowledge of HIPAA/GxP regulations and prior exposure to life-science or healthcare software

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Fully remote work environment with flexible hours and a results-oriented culture
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental-wellness coverage starting day one
  • • Annual professional-development stipend for conferences, certifications, and courses
  • • 401(k) with company match, employee stock-purchase plan, and generous PTO policy
