- • Join OLIX USA Inc., a pioneering company at the forefront of the artificial intelligence revolution, as a Corporate Development Associate. We are building the next paradigm in computing with our groundbreaking Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), designed to overcome the limitations of current chip technology and meet the explosive demand for AI infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to be instrumental in scaling a visionary startup from its prototype phase to high-volume manufacturing, working directly with the President.
- • This pivotal role sits at the critical intersection of supply chain analysis and corporate strategy, demanding a deep understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem. You will be tasked with meticulously mapping and rigorously stress-testing the entire end-to-end photonic and semiconductor supply chain. This includes, but is not limited to, substrates, wafers, foundry processing, packaging, and testing. Your comprehensive analysis will translate into actionable intelligence, informing our sourcing strategies, guiding make-vs.-buy decisions, and identifying key strategic partners.
- • The insights you generate will have a direct and significant impact on OLIX's most crucial commercial decisions and capital allocation strategies. This position offers unparalleled leverage, providing you with firsthand exposure to the key commercial inflection points that define a startup's journey through hyper-growth. You will be a key player in shaping the future of AI hardware.
- • Key responsibilities include Supply-Chain & Partner Diligence: Develop and maintain a dynamic, living database of critical companies across the entire supply chain, from raw materials to finished products. This involves in-depth analysis of their production capacity, cost structures, geopolitical influences, and scalability potential to ensure a robust and resilient supply network.
- • Financial Modelling & Scenario Planning: Construct detailed, bottom-up unit-economic and gross-margin models. These models will intricately link technical parameters such as silicon yields, wafer Average Selling Prices (ASPs), backend conversion costs, and logistics to comprehensive P&L and cash-flow forecasts. You will map out capacity constraints, lead times, evolving cost curves, technology roadmaps, and potential geopolitical risks. Crucially, you will stress-test various scenarios to provide data-driven recommendations for critical make/buy decisions and volume ramp-up strategies.
- • Strategic Projects: Lead and execute ad-hoc commercial workstreams that are vital to OLIX's growth. This may include spearheading joint-development agreements, conducting thorough M&A scans to identify strategic acquisition targets, or preparing compelling applications for government incentives. You will be responsible for producing high-quality investment memoranda and board-ready decision documents that clearly articulate strategic rationale and financial implications.
- • Negotiation Support: Provide essential data, valuation benchmarks, and critical term-sheet redlines to OLIX executives. Your analytical support will be invaluable during complex negotiations with both suppliers and potential customers, ensuring favorable terms and strategic alignment.
- • Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Drive the agenda for weekly commercial reviews, ensuring all key stakeholders are informed and aligned. You will maintain comprehensive risk registers, meticulously tracking potential exposures related to cost, capacity, and geopolitical factors. Furthermore, you will own the development and presentation of the commercial sections of our quarterly board decks, ensuring clear and concise communication of progress and strategic outlook.
- • This role demands a proactive, analytical, and strategic mindset. You will thrive in a fast-paced, pre-scale-up environment where ambiguity is common, timelines are aggressive, and managing multiple concurrent priorities is essential. Your ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights will be paramount to your success and the success of OLIX.
