Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Corporate Finance Manager at Babylist, you will partner closely with the Director of Corporate Finance and VP of Finance to own the full three-statement financial model — income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow — end to end, delivering accurate, decision-ready financial reporting to executive leadership and the board.
  • • Day to day, you will own monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, build and maintain integrated financial models, analyze actuals vs. expectations, prepare executive and board-level materials, manage company-wide opex planning, develop models for strategic decisions, perform ad hoc analysis, and implement AI-enabled improvements to increase speed and consistency in finance workflows.
  • • Babylist is a remote-first company with team members across the U.S. and Canada, serving over 9 million users annually as a leading registry, e-commerce, and content platform for growing families, with over $1 billion in annual GMV and more than $500 million in 2024 revenue, reshaping the $320 billion baby product industry through innovation and AI integration.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep ownership of end-to-end financial processes, strengthen your ability to present complex financial insights to executive and board audiences, refine your AI-driven automation skills in finance, and grow your impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where independent problem-solving and rigorous accuracy are valued.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5–8 years in FP&A or Corporate Finance, with 1–2 years at the Manager level preferred or equivalent ownership in a lean, cross-functional finance environment
  • • Advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting, and analysis, including balance sheet and cash flow mechanics and how the three financial statements connect
  • • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience building executive- and board-level materials in PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • • Experience working in financial planning systems such as NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, Oracle Hyperion, or similar tools
  • • Ability to present financial insights clearly and directly to executive leadership and board-level audiences, connecting numbers to business drivers
  • • Demonstrated strong independent ownership and problem-solving — able to take ambiguous problems, define approach, and drive to clear answers without day-to-day direction
  • • High bar for accuracy and quality control, with consistent habits around building checks into models, reconciling outputs, and catching errors before stakeholder delivery
  • • Proactive workplan management — keeping stakeholders informed, surfacing risks early, and delivering on commitments without needing to be chased
  • • Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in finance workflows, with clear examples of automating reporting, accelerating analysis, or improving modeling
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • • Genuine excitement about using AI actively in day-to-day work, not just as a concept

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary with equity and bonus opportunities
  • • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • • Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts
  • • Generous paid parental leave and PTO
  • • Remote work stipend to set up your home office
  • • Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning
