📋 Description

• Counsel, Edupreneur Resource Center (ERC) at Stand Together is a pivotal role that empowers education entrepreneurs by translating complex legal and regulatory frameworks into clear, practical, and actionable guidance, directly supporting the mission to expand diverse, high-quality educational options tailored to individual student needs.
• Day to day, the role involves developing scalable legal resources such as guides, toolkits, and compliance frameworks; providing individualized support to education entrepreneurs navigating legal and regulatory challenges; collaborating with internal teams to ensure resource accuracy and relevance; and staying current on evolving education law and policy at federal, state, and local levels.
• The Stand Together Edupreneur Resource Center operates within a philanthropic community dedicated to tackling systemic challenges in education, the economy, and social cohesion by backing innovators with funding, thought leadership, peer networks, and proven principles for scalable impact.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in education law and policy, build scalable legal literacy tools for non-lawyers, strengthen your ability to bridge legal complexity and real-world entrepreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to expanding educational freedom and innovation across the United States.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 3+ years of legal experience, preferably in education law, regulatory compliance, nonprofit law, or civil rights
• Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language for non-lawyer audiences
• Experience creating legal resources, guides, or toolkits for external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset
