- • As the Country Manager for the UK, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive end-to-end responsibility for BJAK's performance within the United Kingdom. This pivotal role encompasses the strategic establishment and meticulous execution of local operations, the cultivation and leadership of a high-performing local team, the aggressive pursuit of revenue generation and strategic partnerships, the adept execution of our go-to-market strategy, and the unwavering assurance of full compliance with the stringent requirements set forth by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This is fundamentally a hands-on execution role, demanding proactive engagement and decision-making, rather than a purely representative or policy-focused position. You will be empowered to make critical decisions, drive tangible outcomes, and architect scalable systems, all while maintaining close collaboration with our Headquarters and senior leadership team.
- • Your core responsibilities will include owning the entirety of the UK business performance. This involves the strategic setup of our physical presence, defining and refining our operational model, and driving the execution of key strategic initiatives designed for market penetration and growth. You will be instrumental in setting, meticulously tracking, and consistently delivering against critical business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), thereby ensuring sustained operational and commercial progress.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be to build and lead the dedicated local UK team, which will encompass Public Relations, Marketing, and Customer Support functions. This leadership extends to all facets of team management, including the strategic hiring of top talent, robust performance management, and providing inspirational day-to-day leadership. You will be responsible for establishing crystal-clear roles, ambitious yet achievable targets, and a strong sense of accountability across the entire team to effectively fuel our growth trajectory.
- • You will be tasked with driving the formation of strategic partnerships and the development of robust distribution channels, essential for accelerating our market penetration and significantly boosting revenue streams. Furthermore, you will act as a key external representative for BJAK, engaging effectively with potential partners, regulatory bodies, and other crucial stakeholders within the UK market.
- • The design and execution of localized product, marketing, and go-to-market strategies will be under your purview, with direct ownership of acquisition, revenue, and customer retention outcomes. You will collaborate closely with our global product, technology, and customer experience teams to ensure the seamless localization of our platform for the unique demands of the UK market, paying particular attention to alignment with FCA regulations and the nuances of local customer behavior.
- • Finally, you will foster a strong, collaborative relationship with the Chairman and the global leadership team. This partnership is vital for aligning strategic priorities, proactively identifying and resolving cross-regional issues, and ensuring the effective execution of our global strategy within the UK context.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-7 years of experience in operations, general management, consulting, or high-growth environments.
- • Minimum 2 years of experience within an FCA-regulated entity (e.g., banking, insurance, financial services).
- • Proven ability to build and lead teams, with clear ownership of outcomes.
- • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
- • Strong data orientation and ability to operate with ambiguity to make clear decisions.
- • Must be based in the UK.
