- • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior-Level Bookkeeper and Financial Operations Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor. This remote role is crucial for supporting clients in developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, ensuring the meticulous management of both personal and business finances. The primary objective is to enhance client business efficiency, improve service delivery, and support operational functions through high-quality, task-specific financial services.
- • As a Bookkeeper and Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for comprehensive monthly bookkeeping for personal and business accounts. This includes the diligent reconciliation of multiple bank and credit card accounts, typically between four to five cards, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves maintaining precise financial records for rental properties, specifically managing up to 16 units across two properties. Your responsibilities will include meticulously tracking all income, expenses, and security deposits associated with these rental operations, providing a clear financial picture for the client.
- • You will be tasked with preparing essential monthly financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and cash flow summaries. This requires a keen eye for detail to scrutinize and accurately categorize all credit card expenses within Quicken, ensuring consistent and correct classification for potential tax optimization benefits.
- • Maintaining clean, up-to-date, and organized books across all personal and business accounts is paramount. This involves proactive monitoring and regular updates to ensure financial data integrity.
- • A core responsibility is the administration and ongoing management of Quicken for both personal and business entities. You will ensure the chart of accounts is properly organized, optimized for efficiency, and regularly reviewed for accuracy. Prompt identification and resolution of any discrepancies or issues within Quicken are critical.
- • Developing insightful monthly financial reports that include summary analysis is a key deliverable. These reports will provide clients with a clear understanding of their financial performance and position.
- • You will be responsible for preparing and organizing all necessary documentation, receipts, and financial records in an audit-ready format to facilitate annual CPA tax filings. This requires a systematic approach to record-keeping and documentation.
- • In this role, you will serve as a managed financial partner, ensuring the continuous upkeep and accuracy of financial records. This involves working closely with clients to clarify transactions, enhance financial visibility, and proactively recommend improvements to financial processes and organization.
- • The engagement is structured as an independent contractor role, governed by a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work (SOW). Services must be performed professionally, adhering to agreed-upon timelines, guidelines, and deliverables.
- • This position requires a high level of ownership, consistency, and accuracy. You must be able to independently manage monthly deliverables and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
- • Strong communication skills are essential for clarifying financial transactions and collaborating with clients to ensure a thorough understanding of their financial landscape.
- • The role involves approximately 10 contracted hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday. While efforts will be made to align with the client's preferred working hours, specific daily working times will be determined and agreed upon, potentially varying based on time zones and capacity. Any adjustments to the schedule must be mutually agreed upon in writing.
