- • Research and test generative AI tools for video, image, audio, and text—including Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Suno, and Sora—by conducting hands-on pilots within creator communities like Discord, X, and Reddit.
- • Produce broadcast-quality TV commercials and short-form video content at a senior editor level, stepping in to deliver final cuts when production demands it.
- • Document actionable AI workflows by creating prompt libraries, evaluation reports, and best-practice guides that editors and producers can directly apply to real projects.
- • Embed with creative production teams to identify high-friction moments in editing workflows where AI tools can save time without compromising broadcast standards.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, engineering, and product teams to assess tool licensing, compliance, and organizational adoption decisions.
- • Evaluate AI tools based on real-world creative output, not theoretical potential, and clearly communicate which tools are viable for professional use and which are not broadcast-ready.
- • Maintain a current, active presence in AI creator communities to stay ahead of emerging tools, beta access, and community-shared techniques.
- • Translate technical AI capabilities into practical, editorially relevant insights that empower non-technical creatives to adopt tools confidently and safely.
- • Balance innovation with brand safety, ensuring all AI-generated content meets broadcast quality, legal, and ethical standards before delivery.
- • Serve as the bridge between AI experimentation and creative production, ensuring that tool adoption is driven by editorial needs, not hype.
- • Contribute to building an industry-leading AI-powered creative production environment grounded in hands-on editing experience and proven results.
- • Prioritize practical, repeatable workflows over novelty, focusing on tools that deliver measurable time savings and quality improvements in real campaigns.
- • Maintain a portfolio of personally produced AI-assisted creative work that demonstrates technical proficiency and editorial judgment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience editing TV commercials or short-form video at a senior level
- • Hands-on, recent experience testing and producing output with generative AI tools such as Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Suno, or Sora
- • Active participation in AI creator communities (Discord, X, Reddit) with demonstrated knowledge of current tools and trends
- • Ability to run structured evaluations of AI tools and produce clear, actionable reports on their broadcast readiness
- • Portfolio of real, personally produced AI-assisted creative work—not theoretical decks or presentations
- • Strong editorial judgment to distinguish between hype and practical utility in AI tools for professional video production
