📋 Description

• • As a Credit Risk Analyst, North American Underwriter at Stripe, you will play a critical role in protecting the company by managing the end-to-end credit risk of its largest and most complex users, enabling Stripe’s growth through confident, calibrated decisions on high-exposure merchants.
• • Day to day, you will work directly with top merchants—from venture-backed startups to established institutions—to evaluate business models and financial statements, provide tailored credit risk recommendations that balance risk mitigation with partner growth, and help manage the portfolio by developing deep industry, geographic, and operating model risk insights.
• • You will be part of Stripe’s Credit team within the Risk organization, a group that leverages deep underwriting expertise and data-driven stress heuristics to safeguard the company’s financial health while supporting the onboarding and scaling of ambitious businesses worldwide.
• • In this role, you will develop advanced skills in commercial credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, cross-functional partnership with Sales, Legal, Treasury, and Finance, and strategic risk storytelling—positioning you to influence senior management decisions on pricing, onboarding, and portfolio management while contributing to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet.
