📋 Description

  • The Customer Care Specialist I assists members/beneficiaries or providers with routine service inquiries, playing a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate support for healthcare-related questions.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving routine service inquiries such as claims processing, member benefit education, contracting and credentialing requests, eligibility inquiries, and transportation arrangements; researching and following up on open/pending issues; maintaining accurate documentation of all telephone and written communications; and acting as a mentor to new hire employees.
  • CareSource is a managed care organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of its members through accessible, quality healthcare services, with a strong commitment to compliance, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
  • In this role, the individual will develop strong customer service and problem-solving skills, gain in-depth knowledge of healthcare processes and regulations, enhance communication and documentation abilities, and build experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while contributing to member and provider satisfaction.

🎯 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two (2) years customer service experience is preferred
  • Customer Service experience in a call center is preferred
  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM)
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge and experience in a Windows environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
