- • As a Customer Service Representative at Nebraska Blue Cross and Blue Shield, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members, handling inquiries via phone, email, fax, and web to provide accurate information, resolve issues, and advocate for customer needs in a mission-driven organization focused on health and well-being.
- • Day to day, you will interface with customers through multiple channels, research account and policy information using internal systems, elevate complex or sensitive requests when needed, stay current on evolving state and federal regulations, and proactively recommend products or services to improve satisfaction and transaction outcomes.
- • You will join a dedicated team at BCBSNE that powers the company’s promise to members and communities, working in a supportive environment that values purpose, growth, and impact, with ongoing training and resources to build expertise in health insurance and customer advocacy.
- • In this role, you will develop deep knowledge of health insurance products, regulatory compliance, and customer service best practices, gaining transferable skills in communication, problem-solving, and systems navigation while building a meaningful career with a stable, mission-focused employer.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting, with health insurance or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- • Availability to complete remote training lasting approximately 9-12 weeks (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm CST), followed by the ability to work any 8.5-hour shift Monday-Friday between 7:30am-6:00pm CST after training.
- • Must reside within the state of Nebraska or immediate Omaha metro area at time of application and maintain a distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet for handling back-to-back calls.
