- • As a Customer Service Representative I at Nebraska Blue Cross and Blue Shield, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members, handling inquiries via phone, email, fax, web, and written correspondence while advocating for customer needs and building trust in the organization’s ability to deliver quality health insurance services.
- • Day to day, you will research customer information using internal systems and reference materials to resolve issues, elevate sensitive requests when necessary, stay current on evolving state and federal regulations, and proactively recommend products or services to enhance satisfaction and transaction profitability.

🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting, preferably in health insurance or a related field.
- • Availability to complete a mandatory 14 to 16 week training program.
- • Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation skills are considered a plus for strongest candidates.
- • Ability to research customer information using appropriate systems, policies, and procedures to effectively respond to and resolve inquiries.
- • Commitment to stay current on changing State and Federal regulations and mandates affecting health insurance services.
