You will be entrusted with managing a diverse portfolio of 60-80+ clients, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their financial records through meticulous cash-based bookkeeping practices. Your primary objective will be to serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for these business owners, fostering strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring they feel confident and informed about their financial health.

Success hinges on your ability to consistently follow up with clients, communicate with clarity and empathy, take full ownership of your deliverables, and proactively identify and solve potential issues. You will be expected to take the initiative in gathering necessary documentation, clarifying any financial discrepancies, and ensuring clients remain current with their financial obligations. Your role will also involve collaborating closely with internal teams to refine systems and processes, contributing to the overall improvement of our service delivery and operational efficiency.
• • Your core responsibilities will encompass end-to-end bookkeeping for your assigned client portfolio. This includes the diligent collection and management of client financial data, accurate categorization of transactions, and thorough reconciliation of all accounts. You will maintain general ledgers, ensuring data integrity and completeness, and make necessary adjustments to resolve any discrepancies. A critical part of your role involves conducting monthly reviews to guarantee that financial records are not only accurate but also up-to-date, culminating in the finalization of bookkeeping to produce reliable monthly financial statements. Maintaining clean and organized client data will be essential for seamless cross-team visibility and efficient workflow.
• • Beyond the technical aspects of bookkeeping, you will be the main liaison for your clients. This involves engaging with them regularly via phone, email, and our in-app messaging system, responding promptly to daily inquiries, and effectively resolving any bookkeeping-related issues. Proactive follow-up to collect required documentation will be a key activity, ensuring that client financials are always current. You will also play a vital role in guiding clients through their financial reports and explaining complex processes in an understandable manner. Building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with these busy small business owners is paramount, as consistent outreach is crucial for ensuring the timely completion of bookkeeping tasks.

You will be expected to identify potential issues within financial records, propose effective solutions, and ensure strict adherence to established bookkeeping standards and internal processes.
