- • The Customer Success, Enterprise role at Fivetran is critical to scaling the company’s Japan business, serving as the primary point of contact for over half of Fivetran’s 100+ customers in the region and directly influencing customer satisfaction, adoption, and ARR growth.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning a book of existing enterprise customers in Japan, driving retention, renewals, and adoption-led expansion; building executive and technical relationships; running business reviews; managing the full contracting lifecycle; providing accurate forecasts; partnering cross-functionally; resolving escalations; capturing customer feedback; and creating advocate stories and success references.

- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in enterprise SaaS customer success, strengthen bilingual (Japanese/English) executive engagement skills, master complex contracting and forecasting, influence product strategy through customer insights, and build long-term strategic partnerships that drive measurable revenue expansion and customer advocacy in the APAC market.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native Japanese speaker with strong professional English for daily business and executive communication
- • 3+ years (preferably 4–7) of demonstrated success in SaaS Account Management, Customer Success, or Enterprise AE roles managing renewals, upsells, and contracting
- • Strong project management skills to coordinate multi-stakeholder technical projects, migrations, and onboarding programs end-to-end
- • Exceptional personal integrity and customer centricity — builds trust and acts with transparency
- • Highly detail-oriented with excellent contract/review discipline, accurate forecasting, and clear documentation
- • Proven negotiation experience handling renewals, amendments, and commercial conversations
- • Experience with CRM and forecasting tools (Salesforce preferred) and strong organizational skills to manage many concurrent accounts
- • Comfort working cross-functionally and influencing without formal authority
- • Familiarity with data platforms, ETL, analytics, or engineering teams is strongly preferred (ability to have technical conversations with architects and analytics leaders)
- • Ability to travel domestically as customer needs require
