📋 Description
- • As a Customer Support Engineer specializing in Atomic Spectroscopy at Agilent Technologies, you will serve as a trusted technical expert ensuring the reliability and performance of critical laboratory instrumentation across the Netherlands and Belgium, directly enabling scientific discovery and quality of life improvements through accurate, dependable analytical results.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include delivering advanced on-site support such as installation, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and repair of ICP-OES/MS, AAS, and MP-AES systems; troubleshooting complex hardware, software, method, and system issues under time pressure; acting as a technical authority advising customers on best practices, preventive maintenance, and configurations; proactively identifying risks before they impact operations; executing integrated system solutions involving hardware, software, networking, and peripherals; serving as an internal escalation point for challenging cases by collaborating with Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D; maintaining accurate documentation compliant with Agilent quality and regulatory standards; sharing expertise through technical training, workshops, or mentoring for colleagues and customers; and supporting high-volume or key customers with calibration and qualification activities.
- • You will join a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets where Agilent’s technologies are trusted in laboratories worldwide for accuracy, reliability, and insight; the Customer Support Engineering team operates as the eyes and ears of the company, building long-term trust with customers who depend on your expertise to keep critical scientific work moving forward in high-expectation, real-world laboratory environments.

🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in Chemistry
- • Solid practical experience with ICP-OES/MS systems
- • Proven ability to work independently in laboratory environments and manage complex customer situations
- • Clear, confident communication skills—both verbal and written
- • Fluency in Dutch and English
- • Valid driving license and willingness to travel
