  • • Install, maintain, and repair analytical instruments for customers in the field, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with technical specifications.
  • • Diagnose and resolve complex technical malfunctions of laboratory and process measurement systems used in material analysis, including particle size, elemental composition, and crystallographic structure.
  • • Configure and troubleshoot computer systems and proprietary software associated with analytical instruments to ensure seamless operation.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact between Malvern Panalytical and customers, delivering high-level technical support and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • • Collaborate with global support networks to resolve issues efficiently, leveraging internal expertise and documentation to meet team and company KPIs.
  • • Travel domestically and internationally to perform on-site service, installations, and preventive maintenance on analytical equipment across diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, steel, cement, petrochemicals, and semiconductors.
  • • Apply analytical thinking to identify root causes of system failures and implement effective, long-term solutions.
  • • Work independently with a structured and self-motivated approach, managing time and travel schedules to meet service commitments.
  • • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally in both German and English, both verbally and in writing, to customers and internal teams.
  • • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all field activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • • Operate a company vehicle for travel to customer sites, including private use privileges as part of the employment package.
  • • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay current with evolving technologies and service protocols.
  • • Support customer satisfaction goals by resolving issues within defined service windows and adhering to performance metrics.
  • • Engage with academic and industrial clients in fields such as chemistry, biology, geology, mineralogy, physics, and materials science.
  • • Work within a global, multicultural team environment that emphasizes innovation, responsiveness, and customer-centric service.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, physics, mechatronics, or a related field
  • • 3 years of experience in field service for analytical systems
  • • Excellent spoken and written German and English language skills
  • • Valid driver’s license for passenger vehicles
  • • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • • Structured, independent, and self-motivated work style
