  • • As a Customer Support Specialist at Ostrom GmbH, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s mission to build Europe’s leading energy management platform and provide fair, clean energy to everyone. Your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of energy services in a fast-growing, purpose-driven startup.
  • • Day to day, you will handle customer inquiries via email in a timely, friendly, and solution-oriented manner; manage operational processes such as customer switches, billing inquiries, and tariff questions; resolve complex cases by liaising with other energy providers, grid operators, and metering point operators; apply your understanding of energy market topics like EDIFACT and market communication; and proactively suggest improvements to enhance service quality and back-office processes in contract management.
  • • You will join a diverse, international team of over 50 employees from 16+ nationalities, with 46% female representation, working in a transparent, flexible, and results-oriented environment that values customer focus and innovation.   • • In this role, you will develop expertise in energy market operations, strengthen your customer service and problem-solving skills, gain experience in a mission-driven startup, and grow professionally through personal development paths, learning budgets, and knowledge-sharing opportunities—all while contributing to meaningful environmental impact, as each customer switching to Ostrom helps offset approximately 1.5 tons of COâ‚‚ annually.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience in customer service, ideally written support via email or ticketing systems
  • • Very good German language skills (C1 level) – mandatory for this role
  • • Good English language skills (minimum B2 level)
  • • Proactive, solution-oriented, and structured approach to work, even under pressure
  • • Enjoy helping customers, solving problems, and explaining complex topics in simple terms
